    I read that as, “I was not feeling good today, but your post made me feel better”.

    I don’t see how that’s sympathy.

    Had he said “so, I just lost a testicle and mt grandmother is dead and I think I can’t afford my 12 dog’s vet care but oh well i lol’d”, then maybe.

    Its not Turnip that looks like an attention-seeker to me.
